DEAR EDITOR:

On Friday evening my daughters and I attended the baseball game at Pacific Bell Park in San Francisco between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Before the game began, our Gilroy High School Chamber singers marched out onto the field and sang our National Anthem. The clear, beautiful harmony over the field’s loudspeakers was so wonderful. And we were not the only ones who thought so. Many of the fans around us commented how well they sounded. I just wanted to let the citizens of Gilroy know how lucky we are to have such a great group of students in our midst.

Thank you Phil Robb for a job well done, and thank you chamber singers for representing our city so well.

Oh, by the way, Giants 10, Los Angles 1 and home run number 658 by Barry Bonds.

Anna Barberi, Gilroy
