Gilroy – Gilroy put the finishing touches on its first winning season in five years, defeating Sobrato 10-5 in its Blossom Valley Athletic League regular-season finale.

The Mustangs swept the boys singles, girls doubles and mixed doubles. In boys singles, Arthur Lee won 15-0, 15-1; Hein Nguyen won 15-0, 15-0 and Bao Diep won 15-0, 15-0. In girls doubles, Meiyi Liang and Cuimei Ma won 15-7, 15-3; Tracy Pham and Vindy Yang won 13-15, 15-10, 15-4; and Radhika Patel and Dhartiben Soni won 15-9, 15-2. In mixed doubles, Christine Camacho and Johnny Kuang won 17-14, 15-7; Ariana Azevedo and Anthony Ualat won 15-11, 15-10; and Jasmine Hyatt and Francisco Gil won 15-5, 15-9.

Additionally, the boys doubles team of James Kuang and Mark Vessels won 15-11, 15-5 as Gilroy completed an 11-5 season.

The Mustangs will compete Tuesday and Wednesday at the BVAL tournament at Sobrato.
