The Gilroy girls water polo team comes together after winning the Pacific Division title at the Monterey Bay League Championships Saturday.

The Gilroy girls water polo team rolled through the Monterey Bay League-Pacific Division tournament, taking the championship with a 13-4 win over Santa Catalina Saturday.
The Mustangs used swarming defense to keep SC at bay and that turned into an explosive offense on the other end.
Coach Doug Pickford got a traditional dunking in the pool following the win.
Erika Cates led all scorers with four goals, followed by KK Brolin and Ashley Harding with three each.
Dillania Barnett came up with five steals.
In the cage for the Mustangs was Cheyenne Cates who recorded 11 saves.
The girls will await their playoff seeding that will come Sunday afternoon.
