A Gilroy High School science teacher suspected of posing as a woman online to get boys to send him lewd pictures was arrested Tuesday.
Doug Le, 25 was arrested on suspicion of sharing lewd matter relating to a minor on the internet, but the school district is releasing little information.
Le was interviewed by investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force at Gilroy High School after classes and then taken to the San Jose Police Department, where he was placed under arrest and booked into Santa Clara County Jail.
The school district released a brief press release and referred calls to the San Jose Police department, which arrested Le.
Le is a resident of San Jose and teaches A.P. Chemistry, Honors Chemistry and Biotechnology I in the prestigious biomedical program at Gilroy High School.

“I want to reassure parents and the community that the safety of our students remains our highest priority,” said Superintendent Dr. Deborah Flores. “We are working cooperatively with the San Jose Police Department to continue to ensure the safety of all students in the District as they complete their investigation into this matter.”
In accordance with California State Education Code, the employee, when hired, was subject to all criminal background screening for employment, which includes fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”
A Christopher High School coach was arrested in November on suspicion of having sex with a minor.
