A celebration of his life was held on February 7th, 2015, in the Montgomery Center at the Villages Retirement Community, his home for many years, located in San Jose's Evergreen Valley.

A private memorial ceremony will be held in Miami Heights near the farmhouse where Shirley and Melberne raised their children. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Friends of San Martin Animal Shelter (http://fosmas.org/donate.html). Please remember to note the donation as ‘Shirley Paulus Memorial’ on check or PayPal payment. Donations will be used towards building an outside cat enclosure that the shelter has needed for some time. It would allow the shelter cats to get some fresh air, but be protected!

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on March 31st, 2015, at 1:00 P.M.,at Community Christian Church in Morgan Hill. There will be a private family burial at the National Cemetary in Santa Nella.
