Passed away October 10, 2008. He is survived by his mother Aliene Cristino and predeceased by his father Nicholas Cristino. He is also survived by his two daughters and one son, Gina Delbruegge, Gary Cristino and Carla Cristino, son-in-law Don Delbruegge, grandchildren, Michael and Nicole Delbruegge and Rudy Sanchez. He was a longtime resident of Gilroy.
Thomas L. Maloney, 87 of Gilroy. Tom was born in Syracuse, Missouri on October 21, 1921 and passed away October 20, 2008. He was a WWII veteran serving in the European theater and later was in the California National Guard.
Flora B. Carter, loved dearly by her family, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2008 at her home in Gilroy at the age of 90. Flora spent the last 55 years of her life in Gilroy with her beloved husband of 65 years, Harmon Carter, who predeceased her in 2005. She worked and retired in Gilroy as secretary of Brownell Elementary School.She loved to cook and entertain. She loved to play cards with her friends and she loved her grandchildren. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter Joanne Churchill, her son and his wife, Tom and Claudia Carter, her 5 grandchildren, Jana, Winston, Jodi, Andrea and Tommy, her 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at her home at 7380 Crews Rd, Gilroy, Ca on Sunday October 26, at 1:00 P.M. Donations in Flora's name may be made to Odyssey Health Care or the Alzheimer's Assn.
Passed away on October 14, 2008. He is survived by his wife Patti, his children; Jennifer, Tedd, Jr., Paul (Irene), Dennis Kyne, Bill Mueller and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Calvary Cemetery for former Hollister resident Nello Puccetti at 11:30 A.M. on October 24, 2008. A beloved father and grandfather, Nello passed away in Chico on October 14 following a brief illness. Born in Jerome, Arizona on June 2, 1918, Nello was raised in the Hollister area. He married Mary Berrocoso 1942. After serving as a medic in France during World War II, Nello returned to make his home in Hollister with Mary. In 1988 they moved to Chico to be near their daughter and grandchildren. Nello is survived by his daughter Karen Puccetti, grandchildren Rachel Puccetti Steiner and Marc Puccetti Steiner, and son-in-law Dale Steiner, all of Chico, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mary, and sons Arthur and Jeffrey Puccetti. Nello was a member of the Elks Lodge and Spanish Lodge in Hollister, and the Chico SIRS. A reception for family and friends at Liberty Christian Church, 10 Mansfield Road, will follow the service.
Catherine was born on November 4, 1939 to Paul and Catherine Scheck in Gilroy and entered into eternal rest at her home in Modesto, California on October 13, 2008. Catherine is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Marcus Carter of Modesto, daughter Paula, son-in-law Joe, grandchildren Joey and Ben of La Quinta, California, nephews Sparky, Jim and Rick Trujillo of Gilroy and niece Laurie Camarillo of Los Banos. She was preceded in death by her loving son, Jeffrey Paul Carter, parents and sister, Shirley Trujillo. Catherine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend. Her caring, supportive and friendly nature will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park under the direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.
