Passed away suddenly in a Las Vegas hospital. Wife of 49 years to Jose M. Garza of Gilroy. Daughter of the late Inez & Maria Ybarra. Mother of Diana Gonzalez of Capitola, Anna Cano (Robert) of Texas, Joseph A. Garza (Lupe) of Gilroy, Andy E. Garza of Gilroy & Gilbert Garza (Rosie) of Corcoran, CA. Step-mother of Marie Ann Garza of San Jose. Dora is preceded in death by her son, Rafael Gonzalez. her two grandchildren Andres J. Garza and Dora A. Garza and all of her brothers and sisters. She was a grandmother of 25, great-grandmother of 26 and great-great grandmother of 1. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister and brother-in-laws. She moved to Gilroy in 1959 from Texas and worked at Gentry's, Volunteered at Rucker School then hired as the Yard Duty Teacher and then she became a driver for the Senior Outreach Program and a companion for many seniors. Edward "Eddie" Jimenez died on October 9, 2008 from complications due to a stroke in San Jose, California. Eddie was born in Los Angeles, California to Fernando and Elena Jimenez 63 years ago. The family settled in Morgan Hill in 1946. He attended Burnett School and graduated from Live Oak High School. At Live Oak, he was the President of FFA and participated in Track and Football. He received many awards for his prize winning livestock at the county and state fairs. Eddie attended San Jose City College, Hartnell College and graduated from San Jose State University. He also received his real estate agent license later in his career. He was one of the first Hispanic realtors in the south county. He worked in food sales and distribution for over 30 years. He enjoyed watching football, boxing and horse racing with his brothers and friends. He loved to sing Karaoke and to dance the night away. He is preceded in death by his parents: Fernando and Elena Jimenez, and his brothers: Albert Fernando and Carlos Jimnez. He is survived by his daughters: Sonia Jimenez and Denise Jimenez, and former wife Cristina Fonseca Jimenez. He will be greatly missed by his sisters, Mary Pena and Adela Guillen and brothers, Angel (Sally) Jimenez, Willie Jimenez and Rudy (Frances) Jimenez. He was a wonderful grandfather to his six grandchildren: Raymond, Samantha, Robert, Alexa, Jasmine and Alex Rosales. He was a proud great-grandfather to seven: Naomi, Juliana, Raylene, Deandra, Raymond and Jazlyn Rosales and Destiny Davila. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many friends and extended family. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home 5:00-6:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 16, 2008. The Vigil service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M.on Friday, October 17, 2008 at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Morgan Hill, CA.
Adeline H. Ramey-Weil passed away October 10, 2008 in Gilroy. She was preceded in death by her husbands John W. Ramey and Albert J. Weil, and son Patrick John Ramey. She is survived by her daughter Jackie and her husband Jerry Mason; grandchildren Tina, Susan, Debbie, Laura, and Mark; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Raymond Charles Becker, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully on October 7, 2008 at the age of 59 at his home in San Juan Bautista. He was born to Max and Barbara on June 2, 1949 in Altoona, PA, graduated from Sylmar High School in Sylmar, CA and married Martha Hill on June 7, 1980 in Santa Ana, CA after meeting her in Japan.
