Saturday near the 7300 block of Forest Street.
The Gilroy Police Department is looking for a knife-wielding suspect they say chased a subject on foot around 12:49 p.m., Saturday near the 7300 block of Forest Street.

According to a GPD press release, when officers arrived at the scene, they located victim with a stab wound to the torso. A witness said the suspect was last seen fleeing the area south on foot.

The victim was transported to a local hospital.

Police describe the suspect as a 5 feet 9 inches tall Hispanic male between the ages of 50 and 60 wearing a brown jacket, brown baseball cap and khaki pants. He is believed to be a transient.
