Michele Sosa, who got on with a walk, and Perez then scored on a double by Lindsay Holt. Holt scored on a single by Melanie Morelos, who then was plated on a hit by Brenna O’Neill.

The Glory added two more runs in the third inning. Pitcher Ashley Harrington got the win.

Playing under the lights on Saturday, the Glory got past the Nor Cal Stampede 6-3.

In the first inning, Emily Castro got on with a single and scored when Holt hit a long shot well over the fence for a two-run home run. In the second, Sosa scored on a double by Emily Castro.

“I knew it was a good hit, when I hit it,” Holt said of her home run, “I was hoping it would go over, or I that I would at least get a double out of it.”

Later in the game, Adrianna Osuna, and Holt scored on a double by Morelos. Harrington was the winning pitcher again, giving up only two hits.

The Glory lost 4-1 on Sunday to the Grapettes. Holt scored the Glory’s lone run on a single by O’Neill after a sacrifice bunt by Mikhaela Osuna moved her into scoring position.

The last game of the tournament was a close loss, 3-2, to the Nor Cal Gold. In the first inning, Stephanie Doting bunted Sosa into scoring position, and Morelos got the RBI. Serrano, on with a single, scored on a double by Sosa in the third.

A fairly young team, this is the Glory’s first year playing at the 18 Gold level. All but two players qualify to play 16-Under and four qualify to play 14-Under. Six players are from the 2005 Little League World Series team.

Batting leaders for the weekend were Melanie Morelos – the youngest player on the team – who had a .583 batting average. Lindsay Holt and Adrianna Osuna were close behind with .500 averages.

The Glory’s next tournament will be in Lancaster for the Gold Regional Qualifier.
