Dear Editor,

I just couldn’t let the Gilroy policeman have the last say about the Quail Canyon Inn with his insinuations about the Quail being a “gang hangout” and a place for “barroom brawls.” According to his words … “Now, when the reservoir is dry, it’s not worth the stop. Over the years, an element has crept in, something I’m not comfortable with. I can’t remember the last time I was there.” Hmmmmmm, I wonder when the last time he was there … and by the way … the reservoir is not DRY!

Yes, there have been some problems – like any bar but not like those suggested by this particular policeman, Stan Devlin. Georgia and Ray always made sure their patrons had a clean and safe environment to meet up with old and new friends.and even cooked up great food (FREE!) on Sundays and other special holidays throughout the year.

They tried to keep a safe haven for everyone who ventured up to the Quail to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful haven nestled in the mountains that was LOVED by all. Thank you Georgia and Ray.
