allowed for the NABO junior lightweight title fight, while Daud
Yordan (17-0, 12 KOs) came in at 129 pounds.
SAN JOSE – Gilroy native Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and his opponent in Saturday’s 11-bout card taking place at HP Pavilion in San Jose hopped on the scales Friday in the final press conference before fighters let their fists do the rest of the talking.

Guerrero (23-1-1, 16 KOs) weighed in at 130 pounds, the maximum allowed for the NABO junior lightweight title fight, while Daud Yordan (17-0, 12 KOs) came in at 129 pounds.

Guerrero will be the first of three co-main events, which will be televised on HBO’s Boxing After Dark series.

Victor Ortiz (23-1-1, 18 KOs) will face Mike Arnaoutis (21-2-1, 10 KOs) in the second co-main event for the NABO and USBA junior lightweight title, while James Kirkland (24-0, 21 KOs) squares off against Joel Julio (34-2, 31 KOs) in a junior middleweight clash.

Other local fighters on the card include Salinas’ Eloy Perez (12-0-2, 2 KOs) in a super featherweight bout, Karim Mayfield (7-0-1, 5 KOs) in a welterweight battle and heavyweight Ashanti Jordan (7-0, 6 KOs) in a six-round fight.

Doors for the event open at 3 p.m., with Guerrero’s bout likely to start at roughly 7 p.m.
