GILROY – Handmade Healthcare used at least two hits each from its 10 batters Monday to power past Los Gatos Capital 22-10 in Men’s CCC League play at Las Animas Park.

Dave Meacham, Paul Bejarano and Eric Lopez each went 5-for-5 as Handmade moved to 2-0 atop the four-team league. Los Gatos Capital dropped to 1-1.

Benjie Doi and Mike Peternal each collected four hits for the winners. Handmade snapped a 9-9 tie in the fifth when Lopez hit a run-scoring double, Doi lofted a sacrifice fly and Peternal drove in Lopez with a single.

Jim Neilson homered and Greg Ciramelli went 3-for-4 for Los Gatos Capital.

Joseph Arde homered and Brian Cortez socked a single, double and triple to lead Las Animas Sweepers to a 16-8 decision over AJ’s Boys.

Emiliano Arde, Wayne Pfeffer Jr. and Wayne Pfeffer Sr. each drilled three hits for the 1-1 Sweepers. Scott Povio lined a three-run home run for AJ’s Boys.

Guy’s Heating and Sheet Metal took over first place in the Men’s CC League at 2-0 by defeating Krazy Koyotes-Dutchman’s Pizza 14-9 Monday at Christmas Hill Park.

Eric Tomasetti hit a two-run home run and scored three runs for Guy’s Heating. Anthony Hernandez added a single and triple, scoring twice. Raul Toledo hit a double and two singles for the 1-1 losers.

Dee’s Nuts scored 10 runs in the top of the seventh innig to earn a 23-18 victory over Countryside Preschool.

Rico Lopez singled and doubled in the Dee’s seventh stanza. Josh Padron went 4-for-5 and Tony Vega provided three hits and a sacrifice fly for Dee’s Nuts. Kris Ferguson doubled and tripled for Countryside Preschool.

HMI defeated VFW Bingo 21-11 Monday to improve to 2-0 in the Men’s EEE League at Gavilan Sports Park.

Nathan Galdos carried the HMI offense with a grand slam and four singles. Albert Tamez went 4-for-4, Mark Logan hit a three-run homer and Shaun Crank delivered four HMI hits. Greg Sandoval hit two homers and two singles for VFW Bingo.

Radiator Doctor joined HMI atop the seven-team league with a 20-5 verdict over the Good Ole Boys. Scott Larson went 4-for-4, John Andrade 4-for-5 for Radiator Doctor. Jeff Speno and Bob Schoenemann each went 2-for-2 for the Boys.

Oscar Soriano’s RBI-single in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted the Slammers past Associated Concrete 10-9. Mike Estrada went 3-for-3, Val Casillas 3-for-4 and Joseph Sanchez homered for the Slammers. Tony Ortiz collected three hits and Al Orosco added a triple, double and sacrifice fly for Associated Concrete.
