Thank You Cynthia Walker, for pointing out the avarice inherent in the “view-shed/hillside protection” proposal.
This lunacy is brought to us by the folks that belong to Camp NIMBY. They believe the arrogant notion that their giddy desires trump the rights of the private property owner. The folks from Camp NIMBY are always up for a fresh land grab – as long as it isn’t their own land!
Certainly we also have to consider how much money our millions of acres (throughout California)of “protected” land is costing us in lost property tax revenue. And most important is the increasing erosion of private property rights throughout the U.S.
How long before we have no private property rights at all?
