Dear Editor,
The tragic death of Jeramy Ailes has touched my co-workers and I. Two of my colleagues in particular, Penny Miller and Ryan Alter have been especially affected as they were both close with Jeramy. Penny has a son, Josh who also serves in the war against terror. Josh and Jeramy were best friends and through their experiences, we have seen the toll it takes on the families who have loved ones fighting on foreign soil.
In the spirit of what Jeramy has taught us about giving to those who are in need, my friend and I are gratefully thanking him for inspiring us and giving us a face behind all the sons and daughters who are risking their lives everyday for freedom. A group of us would like to invite the community to join us in collecting and donating any small non-perishable items (phone cards, magazines, non-perishable candy, deodorant, card games, etc.)
Please feel free to write some thoughtful letters of gratitude to a soldier. Call me at 710-6212 if you wish to make a contribution. We’ll come by and personally pick up your donation. We are collecting now.
