David Gonzalez scored 16 points to lead Gilroy High’s boys basketball team to a 63-61 win at Pajaro Valley on Friday night.
Tommy Cox had 13 points and Zach Loo scored 12 for the Mustangs, who won their fifth straight game to improve to 9-12 overall and 6-3 in the Monterey Bay League Pacific Division.

San Benito 53, Christopher 44 – Shane Suttles had 14 points to lead three Cougars scoring in double figures, but the visiting Cougars lost to the Balers.
Evan Shapiro had 13 points and Wyatt Rocheleau scored 10 for Christopher, which dropped to 9-11 overall and 2-6 in the MBL Gabilan Division.
