Hugh Mitchel Avery of Gilroy, CA, born August 16, 1919, died peacefully on March 21, 2009 with his loving family at his side.
Mitch is survived by his children JoAnne Avery Neish, her husband Lee and their children Andrew and Jenna; Kathleen Avery and her children Brandon, Katie and Daniel; Barbara Jean Avery and her partner Art Granoff; and Richard Avery, his wife Cindy, and their children Jennifer, Clayton, Kendahl and Christa.
Mitch is also a great-grandfather to Maya, born to Richard’s eldest daughter, Jennifer, and her husband Mark.
Mitch is also survived by longtime friend Doris Garriga.
Mitch Avery, whose passion for all things aviation, was a constant throughout his life, has his wings again.
