Wow what an article! Was this comprised of the collective opinion of the staff?

Like I said in previous opinions, new homeowners can not afford the additional impact fees. Most are barely qualifying as it is. Builders and buyers will go elsewhere to get more for their money. Can you blame them?

This is another example of Gilroy shooting itself in the foot. The people are getting turned off and tuning out. What does it take to wake up the mayor and City Council? That is a sizable chunk of money. People want accountability for the spending.

About 25 to 30 years ago homeowners in west part of San Jose were unhappy about the services they were suppose to get and didn’t. They were not happy with the way their tax money was being handled.

They collectively ceded from the city of San Jose and now are in the city of Cupertino. They were happy with the change, paid less taxes, and got more for their money. Case in point, the same thing could happen to Gilroy.
