Dear Editor,
I read your article, I am also a parent to a student in Mrs.
Lewis class. I agree with Ms. Stone, my child also loves Mrs. Lewis
and social studies more because of her.
However, I question what would be happening if it were a male
teacher. Would we all be even more horrified?
Dear Editor,
I read your article, I am also a parent to a student in Mrs. Lewis class.I agree with Ms. Stone, my child also loves Mrs. Lewis and social studies more because of her.
However, I question what would be happening if it were a male teacher. Would we all be even more horrified? What if this happened at a private school, what would the consequences be? I’d like public schools to have the same high standards as private schools.
Other than wondering why Mrs. Lewis thought something with a sexual connotation could be anywhere near appropriate for a 6th grade class, I’m interested to see what GUSD decides to do. Zero tolerance is just that.
