On behalf of the South Santa Clara County Democratic Club, I would like to invite your readers to our annual club fundraiser and first Annual Youth Service Recognition Event on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 4 to 7pm.
Assemblymembers Simon Salinas and John Laird will be making special presentations, along with Charles Morales and Peter Arellano, our two Club-endorsed candidates for the Gilroy City Council.
South County Democrats are also recognizing the special efforts and contributions of ten young adults in our community. Our recipients have made significant efforts towards making South County a better place to live. Their resume’s are a shining example of the best of American values – giving back to your community more than you have received.
I am honored and take great pride in announcing the recipients of this award: Luis Aldana, Allan Chan, David Bress, Cherise Gowan, Stephanie Orth and Nynette Sicairos.
The gala event is Saturday, September 17, from 4 to 7pm, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Gilroy. There will be food, music and entertainment. There is a suggested donation of $30 per person and reservations may be made by calling our club president, Mark, at (408)779-1510 or e-mail de******@****ic.com.
