The Christopher boys soccer team completely dominated Monte Vista Christian, winning 7-0 Tuesday night.
The Cougars improve to 5-1-2 overall and 4-1 in Pacific Division play.
Christopher led 1-0 after the first half and then exploded for six in the second.
Gerardo Garibaldo opened the scoring with a penalty kick in the first and added one more in the second to put the Cougars up 6-0.
Trevor Gonzalez also had two goals, scoring the third and fourth goals for the Cougars.
Isaiah Rugerio, Jonathan Rojas and Giovanni Adame all contributed goals in the win.
The Cougars will next travel to Seaside Tuesday for a 5:45 p.m. kickoff.
Gilroy girls soccer
Three goals in the first half propelled the Gilroy girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Monte Vista Christian Wednesday.
Gilroy improves to 6-4-1 overall and 3-0-1 in Gabilan Division play.
The Mustangs have a huge match coming up Friday when they travel to Salinas High School for a showdown for first place in league play.
Both teams have are 3-0-1 and are a game and a half clear of third place.

The Gilroy boys basketball team nearly staged a fourth quarter comeback against Alvarez, but came up one basket short.
The Mustangs fell 40-38 after putting up 18 points in the fourth quarter to pull within two at the end.
Gilroy falls to 2-2 overall in the Pacific Division and 5-9 overall.
Connor Doyle had 17 points to lead the Mustangs with Michael Kropff adding seven.
Gilroy was held to 12 points for the first half, but only trailed by five at the break.
In the third, the Mustangs’ defense held Alvarez to nine points, but again were stymied on the other end to trail 26-20.
Then in the fourth, Gilroy exploded only to see Alvarez also put up its best quarter to hang on for the win.
The Mustangs will remain on the road Friday to take on Alisal 7 p.m. in Salinas.

The Christopher boys basketball team was held to 13 points between the second and third quarters as North Monterey County avenged an earlier loss to the Cougars, 54-34 Wednesday night.
The Cougars fell to 12-5 overall and 2-2 in Gabilan Division play.
The Condors put up 35 points in the second half to pull away after being held to six points in the second quarter.
Meanwhile, Christopher went down 13-10 after the first and was held to five before the half.
The Cougars will next travel to Palma for a 7 p.m. game Friday.
