Dear Editor,
I guess the name of this letter is “Just Wondering.” I have a list of things that I have been curious about, and maybe some of the readers have the answers. I was just wondering:
Why are there so many babies born in Hollister and so few at Saint Louise Regional Hospital?
Do people really not know what the speed limit is between Gilroy and San Jose, or is it that they just like to disregard the law?
Do people think it is really safe to drive at 75 miles per hour, using all the lanes to pass and not signaling while talking on a cell phone? And all this with a baby in the back seat.
Why do people buy gas at a station that is 10 cents higher than one across the street?
Does the border patrol ever drive into the hardware store lot to check the legal status of the immigrants standing around there?
Do the people that hire the immigrants check to be sure that the people they hire have the proper paperwork to be in this country?
Do women realize that no matter what age they are, it really isn’t proper to wear jeans that show body parts when they sit down or bend over?
Doesn’t anyone make their own coffee at home anymore? Is there a mandatory rule that you have to have a brand name coffee every morning?
How less overcrowded would our schools be if we would require everyone to show valid proof that they are in this country legally?
How long will it take a major grocery store in town to realize that 12 people in line to checkout with baskets full is not acceptable service, especially with two checkers?
