DEAR EDITOR:
Is it really necessary for the midnight trains to be sounding their loud horns as they pass Gilroy?
Every night, after midnight, the train passes Gilroy, sounding its horn excessively. It has become worse every day as we try to sleep at night, with the trains sounding loud horns at all hours of the night, waking the whole town up. There is no need for this. The train engineers seem to get a thrill of sounding their loud horns at all hours of the night. It sounds its horn as though there is rush hour traffic during the week.
Can something be done about it?
