first place at the September Slam 2008 held in San Carlos by
beating the San Francisco Bulldogs team 46-34.
SAN CARLOS – Gilroy’s Lady Titans AAU girls basketball team recently took first place at the September Slam 2008 held in San Carlos by beating the San Francisco Bulldogs team 46-34.
The Lady Titans topped East Bay Explosion 32-30 in the semifinals after getting past Payes High School 51-21 in the first round.
Chelsea Hill led all Gilroy scorers with 29 points over the course of the tournament. Lindsey Foster followed with 25 and Lauren Rhodes had 22. Defensively, Kristen Costa “kept the tempo up, which was key in our wins,” said coach Susan Shapiro.
