Roy Bateman was born in Santa Barbara, CA on July 13, 1924 and passed away on July 12, 2008 surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Morgan Hill for 28 years where he was the man behind the scenes for his active wife Doris Bateman. He moved to Oakdale, CA two years ago after her passing. Roy retired from FMC in 1993 after 18 years of service.
Roy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He is predeceased by his wife Doris, daughters Sandra Drew and Bonnie Wilson, and grandson Ron Drew. He is survived by his son-in-law Ron Drew, daughters Sharon Ybarra and Linda Radcliffe, 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
