Mr. Green is survived by his domestic partner Gunther Greszik of Los Gatos and his sister Ann and husband Paul Hill of Pleasanton. He was the uncle of Ken and wife Dena Northam of Billings, Mont., Tom and wife Stephanie Northam of Granite Bay, and Kristine MacGill of Danville. He is also survived by seven great nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Angie Green and brother-in-law Ray Northam. Mr. Green was raised in Gilroy and graduated from Gilroy High School. After serving in the Army he graduated from San Jose State University with a BA and MA in Elementary and Administrative Education he then started working for Saratoga Union School District in 1955, he was a beloved teacher, vice principal and principal until 1985. During his career he was the districts Science Fair Coordinator and was nominated for teacher of the year. He was a member of Santa Clara Retired Teachers Assoc., travel assistant of SIRS branch #32 and Sigma Nu. Mr. Green loved to travel especially cruises and did extensively through South America, Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe and Panama Canal. He was a gourmet cook and loved to entertain, he loved to be around people and had a delightful sense of humor. He loved weimaraner dogs, owning three during his life time.

Memorial Services are Thursday at 4 to 6 p.m. at Three Flames Restaurant, 1547 Meridian Avenue, San Jose. Arrangements under direction of Habing Family Funeral Home. Donations to Hospice of the Valley 1150 S. Bascom Ave., Suite 7A , 95128 are preferred.
