The Jiffy Lube Dodgers’ Patrick Valdez (triple, double, 2 singles) and Scott Willard (2 doubles, 2 singles) were a perfect 4-for-4 from the plate in Saturday’s game. Ben Trioni (2-for-4) added two singles to the Dodgers’ 13-hit total. Valdez also pitched six strong innings, striking out 10 A’s batters and earning the complete game victory. Defensively, catcher Willard threw out a runner at third and allowed no past balls in six innings. The Dodgers also received solid infield defense from Jeffrey Keeling at third, Kevin Willard at shortstop, Joseph Lampkin at second and Trioni at first. “A solid game from the Dodgers with few errors,” said Dodgers coach Walt Willard. “Outstanding performances by Scott Willard and Valdez, both returning 12-year-olds who accounted for eight of the 13 Dodger hits.”

Orioles vs. Red Sox (No Score Reported)
Noah Vasquez hit the only RBI of last Thursday’s game to send Tyler Galloway home for the Red Sox. In the infield, Kailo Kastro (second base) and Christian Lopez (third base) played great defense and Paulo Borba Jr. stepped up in his first appearance at catcher. Keanu Dominguez, John Galvas and Grayson Marshall stand strong on defense as key outfielders. After four games, Drew Miner is hitting 1.000 for the Red Sox. “Overall these Red Sox are showing great improvement and skills,” said Coach John of the Red Sox. “We’re looking forward to a week of make-up games and some sunny weather!”

The three hard-driving hitters of this game were Jacob, JJ and David – all knocking the ball off the tee and deep into the outfield.
On defense, Keanu recorded two outs on second and Drew had two outs on first. Brandon showcased good baserunning. “They’ve really got their skills down and are just fine-tuning everything now,” the coach said.
