checkpoint today at the 700 block of First Street between 10pm and
2am. Motorists will see informational signs advising them that the
checkpoint is ahead.

Gilroy – The Gilroy Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint today at the 700 block of First Street between 10pm and 2am. Motorists will see informational signs advising them that the checkpoint is ahead.
All vehicles will be checked, however, if traffic becomes too heavy, vehicles will be checked at a pre-determined rate for objectivity.
Two suspects arrested in SM
Gilroy – Two murder suspects were arrested by California Highway Patrol officers late Tuesday night after a car chase that began in San Jose.
The suspects weaved in and out of traffic evading arrest and reaching speeds greater than 100mph, witnesses said.
Both suspects were wanted in connection with a shooting in East Palo Alto earlier that evening.
CHP Officers deflated the suspects vehicle’s tires using a spike strip placed across U.S. 101 southbound near the San Martin exit. The vehicle came to a stop about one mile late. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident. Their identities were unavailable as of press time Thursday.

Bach to Blues tickets now on sale
