Fund-raiser for Hip Hop Craze dance team

A holiday boutique and find-raiser for Hip Hop Craze dance team will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m, Saturday, at the San Martin’s Lion’s Club, 12415 Murphy Ave., San Martin.

College fair comes to GHS

South County Cal-SOAP College Fair will be hosted by Gilroy High School 5 to 7 p.m. today in the GHS gym.

Students of all ages and parents are invited. Raffle tickets will be given to each person in attendance upon receipt of their evaluation of the event. More than 50 California and out of state colleges will be attending.

Dinner benefits scholarships

President Frank Locicero announces the Polenta Dinner to be held Saturday, Nov. 17 at St. Mary Parish Hall, 11 First St.

Proceeds will support their Youth Scholarships for seniors at Gilroy High School. Social hour with delicious anti-pasta starts at 5:30 p.m. At 6 p.m., diners will enjoy an Italian dinner prepared and served by members and their families.

Holiday boutique comes to Gilroy

Holiday craft show

Local gardens needed for tour

Gardens are being sought to participate in the Sunday, April 20, 2008 Going Native Garden Tour, which showcases bird- and butterfly-friendly, pesticide-free, water conserving gardens.

Gardens must be located in Santa Clara County or San Mateo County, and contain 50 percent or more California native plants. To submit a garden, visit www.GoingNativeGardenTour.org. The deadline is Dec. 1.
