Gilroy – Come enjoy a hands-on experience with animals and students to give information about them, agriculture and FFA.

Gilroy – The GHS first period Work Experience class is holding a Car/Motorcycle show 11am to 5pm Sunday, Dec. 3 at the school
Come out and see cars and motorcycles of all makes and models and from a variety of years. Famous Dave’s BBQ will be attending to fill your stomach while you see all of the wonderful vehicles.
Admission is $5 at the door. If you or someone you know is interested in joining the show, stop by room M-6 and sign up.
Who is the King?
Gilroy – Enjoy a musical set in the little town of Rumor’s Mill where a sign, posted anonymously, declares that “A King is Coming to Town!” Join in as the town reporter, Mayor and Sheriff tell us all about the King. Is it King Tut, King Kong or the King of Rock and Roll? Come find out.
Show is from 9 to 10:30am, Sunday followed by a Mexicali fundraiser breakfast.

Fundraiser for Gilroy’s Elvis
Gilroy – The city’s Elvis, Donald Prieto, will undergo a kidney transplant in mid-December.
Because he will be recovering for four to six weeks and out of work for a year, a benefit brunch will be held in his honor.
The brunch is from 11am to 4pm Sunday at Victoria’s Mexican Restaurant, located at 757 First St., in Gilroy near the Grocery Outlet.

Downtown plans to celebrate
Gilroy – An organizational meeting for Downtown Business Association Board of Directors, downtown property and business owners, City of Gilroy Community Services, and any other interested parties will be held 7:30am, Tuesday at the Chamber by the Gilroy Downtown Business Association.
The purpose of the meeting is to begin working on the celebration plans. A light continental breakfast will be provided.
Calling all Music Makers
Gilroy – South Valley Music Makers will meet at 1pm, Dec., 9 at Gilroy’s Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1735 Hecker Pass Highway.
Music Makers welcomes musicians of all levels and all ages at its get-togethers to share their favorite repertoire in sets up to 10 minutes.

Start the day with Santa
Gilroy – This special morning is for children ages 3 to 12. On Dec. 9 at the Gilroy Senior Center. Cost is $14, non reservation, $12 per person reservation, cost includes breakfast, crafts and photo for children 3 to 12, breakfast only for children age 13.
Pre-registration is required. Scholarships are available.

Courtside sale benefits 7th grade science trip
Gilroy – A huge sidewalk sale will be held 9am to 1pm, Dec. 9 on the basketball courts at South Valley Middle School. Funds raised will benefit the seventh grade science trip to Yosemite National Park. Contribute by donating clothing or household items or shopping.

Arr! ‘Treasure Island’ on stage
