Stuff an animal at Rebekah’s annual Family Fun Day
Gilroy – The annual Family Fun Day is 11am to 3pm, today at the Elks Lodge to raise money for Rebekah Children’s Services. Families will receive one ready to stuff Noah’s Ark animal of their choice for $20.
All proceeds support RCS Prevention and Education Programs serving 11 Gilroy Schools.
Find unique gifts available at weekend craft bazaar
Gilroy – The Gilroy United Methodist Women will hold Bazaar starting 8:30am, today at the Methodist church.
Admission is free but there will be sale of handmade crafts, jams, jellies and cakes including a drawing with a handmade quilt as a top prize. Lunch is served at 11:30am.
Don’t get your haircut
Gilroy – Well, at least wait to get your haircut.
Sunday, a cut-a-thon will be held to raise money for the family of Julio Gonzales who died on Oct. 17.
The Hairstylist community from Gilroy and Morgan Hill started making phone calls after the tragedy, in an effort to help do something to help the family.
The Hot Spot Salon located at 8025 Kern in Gilroy will host this event from 11am to 4pm.
Gavilan Cosmetology students will offer a luxurious shampoo service before all haircuts and face painting for children. Raffle tickets are being sold for prizes donated by local businesses that include: tanning, dinners for two, salon services and gift baskets.
