Cut Down a Tree Right Here
You don’t have to drive to the mountains to cut down a Christmas tree or see snow. Starting today and running until Christmas, Battaglia Ranch in San Martin has thousands of Monterey Pines, Noble Firs and non-allergenic Leyland Cypress trees ready to be sawed down (see story in today’s paper).

There’s a train ride for the kids, a snow-making machine, holiday cider and hot chocolate and for the next two weekends, a chance to hang with the real Santa Claus. What kid could ask for more? Battaglia’s is right off Highway 101 at 13580 Murphy Ave, open 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
