During this week of Thanksgiving, I’d like to extend my gratitude to the many kind people who called in response to the ad I placed in The Dispatch regarding my missing cat.
I spoke to several people who had been caring for lost cats, and also to several more who called with possible sitings of Buster. Two weeks after his disappearance, I received a call from Kim Elking in Hollister who thought she may have seen Buster come and go from her property. From her description, I thought that it could be him, so she and her brother Jud were kind enough to capture and hold him until I could arrive to identify him…amazingly, it was him – happy, clean, and well-fed, thanks to the Elkings!
It is heart-warming to know that so many people care about one silly cat, and I want to say thank you to all the good people of Gilroy and Hollister, and thanks to The Dispatch for the free classified ad!
