Men’s DD
Gilroy – Louie & the Outlaws remained atop the Men’s DD League standings Tuesday by defeating New Hope Community Church 7-4 at Christmas Hill.
The Outlaws erased a 3-2 deficit in the top of the fourth inning when Arnold Vasquez, Javier Huerta and Jesse Jimenez lined consecutive two-out hits. Isaiah Gonzalez and Leroy Martinez lofted consecutive sacrifice flies a three-run Louie & the Outlaws sixth stanza.
Greg Gonzalez went 3-for-3 for the 4-0 winners, Rudy Rodriguez and Isaac Agaliotis good for three hits apiece for New Hope.
Pacific Coast Bail Bonds reached 3-1 with a 15-10 decision over the Titans.
Trailing 8-6 after five, the Bondsmen pushed across five runs in the sixth as Ed Lujan sparked the rally with a two-run single Juan Arias and Juan Contreras hit consecutive doubles as Pacific Coast added four runs in the seventh inning. Joel Gaeta led the Bondsmen with four hits. Jim Reimer went 3-for-3 and Johnny Ramirez drove in three runs with a double and triple for the Titans.
Robert VanTassel, Ron Kretz and Rick Castaneda each went 3-for-3 to ignite the Loco Boys (3-1) past Thousand Trails Punishers 21-5. Curtis Salter hit a home run, triple and single for the Loco Boys. Manuel Chapa laced a two-run single in a five-run Punishers fifth inning.
Deadman Inc. is 2-2 after defeating the Assassins 16-7. Andy Para stroked a single, double and triple for the winners. Louie Gamez singled and doubled for the Assassins.
WoMen’s B
Williams Dental Lab improved to 4-0 atop the Women’s B League standings by defeating Don’s Vending 13-4 Tuesday at Las Animas.
Williams erased a 4-3 deficit in the fourth inning with a nine-run outburst, keyed by a two-run double by Melissa Wilson. Cherie Somavia powered a home run, triple and single for the Dental Lab. Celia Bonilla went 3-for-3. Cherise Martinez went 2-for-2 with a sacrifice fly for Don’s Vending.
Stubby’s Bar & Grill is 3-1 after a 13-4 nod over Kay’s Kids. Michelle Barry and D. J. Simpson each went 4-for-4 for the winners. Eva Neibel homered and Annette Maquinalez stroked a single and double for Kay’s Kids.
Men’s D
Rosso’s Rebels improved to 4-0 in the second half of the Men’s D League Friday by edging the Bomb Squad 3-2 at Christmas Hill Park.
Eric Gabhardt drove in two Rosso’s runs with a triple and single as the winners remained one game ahead of second-place Dan Keith Septics with two weeks left in the regular season. Rosso’s and the Septics meet at 6:30pm on Wednesday July 26 at Gavilan Sports Park.
Taylor Hernandez accounted for the third Rebels run with a run-scoring single. Mark Salazar went 3-for-3 for the Bomb Squad.
Dan Keith Septics reached 3-1 with a 13-10 decision over Trevino Brothers Construction.
Danny Delong went 4-for-4 and Mike Contreras roped two doubles and a single for the winners. Dan Gavrity homered and scored three runs for Trevino Brothers Construction, the first-half DD champion. Pat Kelly and Matt Corona each lashed a double and two singles for Trevino Brothers.
Ellite Barbers (2-2) slipped past Dr. Tile 8-7. Eric Gonzalez tripled and scored in the bottom of the sixth to give the Barbers an 8-6 lead. Dr. Tile netted one run in the seventh on three two-out errors. Gonzalez added a three-run home run to the Ellite effort, while Mark Sotelo went 3-for-3. Patrick Laporte singled and tripled for Dr. Tile.
Men’s C
The Las Animas Sweepers reached 4-0 atop the Men’s C League standings Monday at Las Animas Park with a 14-3 nod over Feather Haven Mill.
Mitch Ponza muscled a homer and triple for the Sweepers. Mike Wall went 4-for-4, Gabe Duenas 3-for-4 for the Sweepers. Dave DeCarlo blasted two doubles and scored twice for the Mill.
Brett Boyd and Jeff Heck each went 4-for-4 and scored four runs to pace Kline’s Plumbing past Los Amigos Construction 21-2. Josh Torres went 3-for-3, Josh Garcia 3-for-4 for the Plumbers. Gabe Hernandez and Jason Trujillo clubbed consecutive RBI-singles for Los Amigos.
Men’s CC
The Gilroy NAPA Slammers moved into a three-way tie for first place in the Men’s CC League Monday at Christmas Hill by topping Jus 2 Party 9-6.
Mike Gonzalez went 4-for-4 and Dustin Barnes tripled and singled for the Slammers. Mike Howe homered and Jimmy Tomasetti scored two runs for the 3-1 Jus 2 Party crew.
Temple Inland is 2-2 after a 12-6 victory over Blackout Window Tinting.
Serf Mancera homered in a 4-for-5 night and Dave Signorotti lined a homer and two singles for the Inland squad. Anthony Corral hit a grand slam for Blackout Window.
