following a lengthy illness.
Marcos A. Medina passed away in Merced on Dec. 18, 2002 following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Medina was born in Nayarit, Mexico on Feb. 29, 1952. Mr. Medina was a 27 year resident of Morgan Hill. He was a certified mechanic for Monterey Mushrooms in Morgan Hill for 25 years. He was a member of the UFW Union. He enjoyed spending his free time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his son and his wife, Marcos and Christina Lopez-Medina of Los Banos; daughter and her husband, Maria and Jaime Medina Colin of Morgan Hill; daughter, Veronica Medina and her fiancé Elias Viscera of Morgan Hill; son, Ricardo Medina of Morgan Hill; and Melissa Medina of Morgan Hill. He is also survived by his mother, Maria Rodriguez Conchas of Mexicalli, Baja; and his grandchildren, Daniel A. Medina-Viscera, Daisy Marie Colin, and Jaime Colin, Jr. all of Morgan Hill. He is also survived by the Caudillo, Esquivel, Villa, Martinez and the Betancourt Families.
He is preceded in death by his father and his parents-in-law.
Visitation was at Habing Family Funeral Home on Tuesday with a Funeral Mass held at St. Mary’s Church. Burial followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gilroy.
