Born in Scotia, NY, Margie studied at University of Oregon, before settling in Morgan Hill in 1979 as a Kaiser nursing supervisor. She volunteered for the Peace Corps, teaching nursing in Botswana, Africa. Returning, she earned two master’s degrees and a PhD from University of Alabama, then became a pediatric nurse practitioner near Sacramento. Retiring in 2014, Margie dedicated her love and energy to community service, friends, and family.
