Mario J. Barbaglia 01-18-1923 – 11-21-2009 Mario J. Barbaglia passed away at home on November 21, 2009. He was born in San Francisco and was a long time resident of Morgan Hill. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Essex as an aviation machinist. He is survived by his loving wife Sarah of 65 years, sister Marie Boehle, children Randy Barbaglia (Faith), Marlene Serrato, Debbie Santos (Rick), and Lana Ailes (Joel), 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother Lou Barbaglia, and his grandson Jeramy Ailes. During his career as a machinist, he also served on the Morgan Hill Police auxiliary. His hobbies were woodworking, fishing, hunting, and camping. Mario was one of the founding cooks for the Mushroom Mardi Gras and also cooked at many other local functions. A memorial Service will be held at St. Catherine’s Church in Morgan Hill on December 5, 2009 at 10:00 A.M.
