Martha was born in Scammon, Kan. on May 11, 1908. She moved to California in 1924. She worked at Coast Radio for many years. In school, Martha won a state champion spelling contest.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Raymond, of Morgan Hill. Ray and Martha met at a dance at the Morgan Hill Grange Hall. They married and spent their lives together on a beautiful ranch on Watsonville Road. They enjoyed many years of golfing, traveling and were involved in Eastern Star.
She is also survived by her brother, Loren Atkinson of San Bernardino and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey St. Morgan Hill. Interment to follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy.
Arrangements are being handled by Johnson Funeral Home, Morgan Hill.
