Mary E. Angelino, 86, passed away in San Jose on May 26, 2003.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Albert A. Angelino of Gilroy; her daughter and her husband, Deborah Ann and William Place of Hollister and her son John Angelino Sr. of Gilroy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nichole Soto and husband Edward Jr. of Los Banos, Paul Michael Marchese of Grants Pass, Ore, Jeffrey Scott Marchese of Nevada, Annemaria Deleon of Gilroy, John Angelino Jr. of Gilroy, Angelina Angelino of Los Banos and Darlene Sanchez Angelino of Gilroy; her sisters, Lupe Sanchez and Carmen Sanchez of Gilroy; her brother and his wife, Vincent and Martha Sanchez of Gilroy; her brother in law and his wife, Alfred R. and Bessie Angelino of Gilroy; sisters-in-law, Inez Ferranti of San Martin, Natalie Terry of Mariposa; and many nieces and nephews. She was the great grandmother of 14.
Mrs. Angelino was preceded in death by her brothers, Jesus Jess Sanchez and Luis Sanchez. Mrs. Angelino was born in Riverside and moved to Gilroy 67 years ago from Santa Ana. She owned and operated Mary’s Beauty Shop for more than 40 years, retiring in 1994 because of health problems. She was a member of the Catholic Ladies Aide Society and St. Mary Parish. She loved to travel and dance.
Vigil service will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Gilroy.
Family and friends will gather at Habing Family Funeral Home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. and then procession to St. Marys Church for a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Gilroy. Family would appreciate donations to the Heart Association in her memory.
