Mary E. Borovich died Sunday, April 17, 2005, at the Mabie Northside Skilled Nursing Facility. She was 89.
She was born in Watsonville, but she lived in Hollister since 1939. She attended Watsonville Schools and Notre Dame High in Watsonville. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved to garden and cook as well as visit with her family as often as she could either in person or on the telephone. Mary had worked for the Hollister Canning Company as well as part time with her late husband, Pete J. Borovich, in his photography business. Her husband died in 1969.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri Walden and husband Joe of 20 East Main St., Merrimac, Mass.; sisters-in-law, Lucy Borovich and Sister Mary Eleanor both of Hollister; nephew, Joe Borovich and his family of Auburn; and niece Kathy Creed and her family of Rockford, Wash. She was preceded in death by brothers-in-law Frances Borovich and George Borovich.
Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home and Crematory. A memorial graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery this summer in which date and time will be announced.
