MORGAN HILL – A 21-year-old Morgan Hill resident was arrested on suspicion of raping a 14-year-old girl.

Jaime Estrada was arrested July 28 and faces two counts of rape from separate incidents June 20 and June 27. The first incident allegedly occurred in Estrada’s car parked on Sutter Boulevard. The second allegedly was at his home on 18555 Butterfield Blvd.

The allegations were reported to Morgan Hill police July 25 by hospital officials at Saint Louise Regional Hospital.

Estrada appeared in court July 30, where nearly 130 friends and family packed the San Martin courtroom for a bail hearing. The judge initially set bail at $100,000. On Aug. 2 following a bail hearing, Estrada was released on his own recognizance with orders not to go near the girl or her immediate family.

Estrada will be back in San Martin Superior Court Aug. 27, for arraignment on the felony charges.
