Morgan Hill – Gilroy swept the boys singles and mixed doubles Thursday as it defeated Sobrato 10-5 in a Blossom Valley Athletic League match.
The boys singles in particular made quick work of their opponents with once-beaten Arthur Lee winning 15-0, 15-0; Johnny Kuang winning 15-0, 15-1, and Jorge Fernandez winning 15-1, 15-0.
Mixed doubles winners were Jasmine Hyatt and Francisco Gil, 15-4, 15-6; Connie Kuang and Fernando Arellano, 15-6, 15-13; and Karen Tayson and Anthony Ualat, 15-13, 15-3.
Other Gilroy (5-3) winners were James Kwong and Rafael Quiroz, 15-9, 15-8 in boys doubles; Brian Hentschke and Will Ebert, 15-6, 15-7 in boys doubles; Meiyi Liang and Cuimei Ma, 15-5, 15-8 in girls doubles; and Christine Camacho and Arriana Azevedo, 15-4, 15-7 in girls doubles.
The Mustangs host Prospect at 3:30pm Tuesday.
