San Jose – Gilroy swept the doubles matches Tuesday and routed Branham 12-3 in a Blossom Valley Athletic League match.
The Mustangs (10-4) got wins in boys singles from Arthur Lee, 15-1, 15-0, and Hein Nguyen, 17-16, 15-10. In girls singles, Stina Marshall won 15-3, 15-1. The Bruins (2-12) won two of three girls singles matches.
Jorge Fernandez moved from No. 3 singles to boys doubles and teamed with Fernando Arellano to win 15-1, 15-4. Also, James Kwong and Rafael Quiroz won 15-6, 15-2, and Brian Henschke and Will Ebert won 15-1, 15-4.
In girls doubles, Meiyi Liang and Cuemei Ma won 15-2, 15-3; Tracy Pham and Vindy Yang won 15-10, 15-10; and Radhika Patel and Dhartiben Soni won 14-17, 15-9, 15-8.
In mixed doubles, Christine Camacho and Johnny Kuang won 15-0, 15-9; Arianna Azevedo and Anthony Ualat won 15-8, 15-2; and Jasmine Hyatt and Francisco Gil won 15-3, 15-8.
Gilroy is in action at 3:30pm May 1 at Lincoln.
