Update: Victim ID’d in big-rig accident
A big-rig struck a man laying in the right northbound lane of U.S 101 north of Buena Vista Avenue early this morning.
UPDATE: DA not investigating Gilroy incident some tied to Sierra case
The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office is not investigating a possible link between a sketch of a man who tried to seduce a 10-year-old Gilroy girl in July 2011 and Sierra LaMar’s alleged kidnapper, but Gilroy Police already have.
Search continues Wednesday
Volunteers and the family of Sierra LaMar will not conduct a search for the missing teen Saturday, which kicks off the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Firework explodes in man’s hands
A 24-year-old man suffered “severe hand injury” and burns on his body after he ignited an illegal firework Wednesday night, according to a press release from the Gilroy Police Department.
