GILROY—A San Jose man is behind bars and charged with the killing of Robert Heiser while police continue the hunt for a third suspect in what investigators now say was murder and robbery by a “criminal street gang.”

GILROY—The parents of a Saratoga teen who killed herself in 2012 after photos were taken and shared online of her being sexually abused while unconscious have called for the expulsion of the trio that pleaded guilty last year to the crime.

Police blotter: Eluding a pursuing officer, DUI

The Gilroy Police Department made arrests for a wide range of crimes this past week, including failure to register as a sex offender, embezzlement, carrying a concealed firearm and eluding a pursuing police officer. Arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter between Jan. 31 and Feb. 8. Following a shift in official policy, the Dispatch will no longer be publishing the names of suspects as they appear in the arrest logs for the purposes of the police blotter.
