GPS Flea Market and Carnival
The big scissors and red ribbon were brought to the Gilroy Prep School Flea Market and Carnival event on April 28. Surrounded by students, Principal James Dent cuts the ribbon. The school provides a world-class education to students of Gilroy. Beginning with kindergarten through second grades, GPS will expand to K-8 over the next six years. BASKETBALL: Gavilan hires new women’s basketball head coach
For the first time since the 2004-05 season, Gavilan College will have a women's basketball team. And Erik Nelson has been hired as the Rams' head coach to begin the ground-up resurrection of the program.

Forum on future charter school scheduled in Hollister
