Eileen Laurel Dugan
Former Hollister resident Eileen Laurel Dugan died at Aegis Living of Aptos on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, after a long fight with Alzheimer's. She was born December 11, 1920 in Denver, CO where she attended schools until she married Harold Oliver Dugan. They settled in CA and took jobs with a little "start-up company" called Hewlett –Packard where they worked until retirement to Hollister, CA.
Concepcion (Connie) Munoz
Concepcion "Connie" Munoz passed away at Stanford Hospital on October 15th, 2009, at the age of 87 years. Connie was a native of El Paso, TX, and had lived there until she moved to San Benito County in 1951. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church as well as Immaculate Conception Parish. She enjoyed attending services at both churches. Besides being a homemaker for over 60 years, Connie was a former employee of the Fairview Cannery who liked cooking, traveling - especially trips in the motor home to visit family in Texas, and excursions to different parts of the country with the Santa Cruz Travel Club. Connie loved the out of-doors camping, visiting with her friends and especially looked forward to spending time with her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. She and her husband Manuel E. Munoz celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past August. She is also survived by her children Felix (Christina) Salcido, Baldo (Cindy) Salcido, Angie (David) Talavera, Gilbert (Jenny) Munoz, Carol (Sam) Rivera; daughters-in-law Jessie Salcido and Anna Munoz; her sisters Andrea Mendez and Clara Canez, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons Oscar Salcido and Armando Munoz and her brothers Carlos and Simon Morales.
