A beloved father and grandfather, Nello passed away in Chico on October 14 following a brief illness. Born in Jerome, Arizona on June 2, 1918, Nello was raised in the Hollister area. He married Mary Berrocoso 1942. After serving as a medic in France during World War II, Nello returned to make his home in Hollister with Mary. In 1988 they moved to Chico to be near their daughter and grandchildren. Nello is survived by his daughter Karen Puccetti, grandchildren Rachel Puccetti Steiner and Marc Puccetti Steiner, and son-in-law Dale Steiner, all of Chico, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mary, and sons Arthur and Jeffrey Puccetti. Nello was a member of the Elks Lodge and Spanish Lodge in Hollister, and the Chico SIRS. A reception for family and friends at Liberty Christian Church, 10 Mansfield Road, will follow the service.
