Sandra Celeste Rodriguez passed away peacefully in her Hollister home with her family at her bedside on Sunday, April 26, 2009. Sandra was born and raised in Hollister. She lived in many places throughout her lifetime including Hawaii and the Los Angeles area, but she always called Hollister her home and lived here for the last few years. She worked for 30 years for Pacific Bell and retired in 2004. Sandra loved to organize parties and she was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed decorating her home and had a talent for finding bargains. She also was known for her generosity and charitable efforts towards others.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013, from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., at the Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St., Salinas, CA 93901. A Vigil Service will follow at 5:00 P.M. Private Graveisde burial will take place Friday. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, The Disabled Veterans or the charity of your choice. Police Chief Scot Smithee and Mayor Roland Velasco responded Friday to a suit that alleges members of the department had sex parties, exposed themselves in front of minors and harassed a female employee who wouldn't take part in the activities and warned others about them.
