GUSD teacher faces felony charges for sex with student
William Dawson, 32, who taught at the Gilroy Unified School District's advanced student program, was arrested Wednesday and charged with seven felonies for a relationship he had with a 17-year-old female student.

Highways 129 and 152 were closed Wednesday because of floods and mudslides. 129 was open with a detour Tuesday over to San Juan Road, but even that detour was closed Wednesday, although with no signs alerting drivers in Watsonville to the closure.
