Development hinders wildlife migration

I am willing to bet that most people have a fence somewhere on their property. Perhaps their yard, like mine, is surrounded by a fence. Sometimes fences are needed to contain pets or livestock, and sometimes they are constructed to exclude unwanted animals, such as deer. Some fences provide security for the occupants. All of these are valid reasons for constructing a fence, but whatever the reason, a fence will likely have an effect on wildlife.

Dog left to die in stolen car

Michael McVey never had a chance to say goodbye to his beloved dog after a pair of thieves stole his car and ditched it in San Jose, while his female Akita, named Keiko, was waiting in the back seat. They left the animal to die, leaving her inside McVey’s Nissan Pathfinder for four days before authorities located the vehicle and found Keiko dead.

New office for Dr. Gabor

Pediatric dentist Dr. Erica Gabor, a 15-year member of the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce, recently moved her office to 18525 Sutter Blvd. In attendance at the ribbon cutting were members of the Chamber of Commerce, Chamber ambassadors and Gabor and her staff members, center.

New location for Rabobank

Rabobank N.A. is moving its Gilroy branch a few doors west on First Street. The first official business day at the new location will be March 10. The new branch at 805 First St. features a private parking lot for customers and a drive-up ATM. “Our new location will make banking with Rabobank more convenient and rewarding,” said Deanna Franklin, vice president and branch manager. Moving the branch will provide customers easier accessibility and a more pleasant banking experience.
